Our origin
Our origin lies in the thermal waters of the Tamina Gorge – unique, precious and closely linked to the history of Bad Ragaz for centuries. Deep within the mystical gorge, not far from the Clinic Bad Ragaz, lies Europe’s most abundant thermal spring. Here, water at body temperature – a natural 36.5°C – bubbles up inexhaustibly from the mountain. The spring was first discovered as early as 1242. In the 16th century, the physician and alchemist Paracelsus praised the healing properties of the thermal water. Due to its low mineral content, it is classified as an acratotherm. This unique spring gave rise to Bad Ragaz’s centuries-old tradition of healing and bathing. It forms the foundation of our modern rehabilitation programme – and continues to shape our understanding of health, regeneration and holistic wellbeing to this day.
